It's a privilege to tell the stories of remarkable people in support of an important cause. My work for Seattle-based nonprofit Northwest Center (NWC) included sharing the stories of how NWC services benefited people with disabilities and using those words to generate support for those services.

I was grateful that Juana trusted me to tell her story, which began with a traumatic birth and spanned the family's connection with NWC Kids, a global pandemic, an autism diagnosis, and racial injustice. We shared her full story online and through an email campaign generating record-breaking donations.​
